The mission of the Maintenance & Calibration Section is to act in an advisory-control capacity to insure optimum operating efficiency and minimum malfunction of Special Weapons equipment.

To adequately fulfill this mission the Maintenance & Calibration Section continually monitors compliance with applicable maintenance and calibration directives.  Periodic inspections are made by Maintenance & Calibration personnel to determine the condition of equipment, technical order compliance and the over-all effectiveness of the maintenance program.  Forms and records required for adequate recording and programming of the preventive maintenance program are also prepared, processed and maintained.

The Section further maintains bench stock spares for T-equipment, and acts as a supply agency for ordering all parts and material required for repair and modification of Special Weapons Material.  It performs major repairs that are beyond the capabilities of the operating sections, and performs all calibration as required or ordered by maintenance directives.

(Ed. Note:  The Mission Statement of this Section remained essentially the same as the previous period, so it is not repeated here.  Only minor changes were made in the wording of the Mission.)
